Released on: August 4, 2008, 8:49 am

Press Release Author: MPORA.tv

Industry: Entertainment

Press Release Summary: MPORA.TV (http://www.MPORA.TV), Europe's largest extreme
sports internet channel, launches today. With content from across the world of
extreme sports, MPORA.TV will offer users unparalleled access to the worlds of
surfing, snowboarding, motocross, mountain biking, skateboarding and BMX.

Press Release Body: To kick the channel off in style, MPORA.TV is offering exclusive
access to the UK's largest festival, the Rip Curl Boardmasters in Newquay. As
official media partners, MPORA.TV will live stream all of the action from the
Boardmasters through their innovative, embeddable player. With chat functionality
and live, real-time text commentary, this player offers anyone not lucky enough to
have a ticket to Newquay the chance to be part of the event.

As well as all the live action, MPORA.TV will be producing extensive, presenter-lead
highlights from behind the scenes of this legendary event. The MPORA.TV team will be
going backstage with some of the biggest names in music (The Pigeon Detectives, The
Zutons, Groove Armada to name but a few). They'll also be delving backstage to get
all the action from the infamous Zoo bikini competition - and let's not get started
on the Zoo volleyball tournament...

All in all, they've got the Boardmasters dialed.

MPORA.TV work with producers from around Europe to bring the best action films and
documentaries to the internet. The channel currently streams in excess of thirty
full-length movies and has commissioned numerous shows focusing on numerous extreme
sports. To consolidate their position as market leaders, MPORA.TV have tied up with
US Production Company Video Action Sports Entertainment Group (VAS), who produce
some of the most famous action sports movies available.

MPORA.TV will be tapping into the recent growth of interest in action sports by a
mainstream and youth audience, providing content that this audience wants to watch.
There are one million regular extreme sports' participants in the UK, with a
three-and-a-half million estimated total audience in the UK alone.

Darryl Newton, Managing Director of Factory Media comments: "MPORA.TV is set to be
the biggest action sports online channel out there. We have exclusive access to the
biggest and best action sports events and athletes in the world brought to you by
people who live and breathe their sports...

...the site has been designed so it is easy to navigate, with simple functionality
and world leading content."

He continues, "The recent shift of interest in traditional 'niche' sports to a more
mainstream audience can be seen in the success of big sporting festivals such as the
Rip Curl Boardmasters and the XGames. Snowboarding, BMX, and mountain biking are
already Olympic sports and skateboarding is under review for 2012 - big brands and
big audiences now want to get involved."

Notes to Editor: -

MPORA.TV is owned by Factory Media. It is Europe's most successful action sports
media owner with 14 publications covering all major extreme sports and a current
monthly readership of 500,000; it has 17 websites with monthly audiences exceeding
750,000. MPORA.TV, a new channel to supplement the user generated video site
MPORA.com, has been designed not only to appeal to the core audience but will be
targeting mainstream viewers through a mix of content rich films and exclusive live
streaming from some of Europe's best loved sporting events and festivals.
With a steady and progressive growth in the trend for action sports, the niche
audience of 'influencers' that follow the sports will be able to view up to date
event news, information and coverage and also be able to use the video content
available on the MPORA.TV site as users are permitted to embed the content within
their chosen websites - giving a 'word of mouth' dissemination.
